Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What should I do when someone has agreed to purchase or loan my item?

Everything is done through the comments for a listing.  Once you have found a buyer for your item, you can complete the sale by passing payment details in your comment thread.  Or you can choose to take the conversation to a private method of your choice.  Once the sale has been completed feel free to remove the listing so you won’t be asked about availability by any other interested parties.

2.  What forms of payment are accepted?

Most of our members choose to pay one another electronically using Venmo or Paypal.  You can really choose any form of payment that is acceptable to both parties.  Aqqaint is considering including a payment system into the app for convenience and would love to get your feedback if you would like to see that in the future.  Leave us a note!

3.  I never received my confirmation code to login?  

There is a good chance that it was caught by a spam filter and may be sitting in your spam or trash folder.  You may want to check there to see if that’s the case.  If it is please be sure to mark Aqqaint emails as safe so you don’t have any issues in the future.  If you are still having problems logging in, send us a brief explanation of your issue.

4.  Why don’t I see any listings in my activity feed?

Aqqaint’s platform is based on trust.  You will only see the listings of from your friends (first-degree connections) and friends-of-friends (second-degree connections) in your activity feed.  You may try connecting with more people you trust or inviting some people you trust to join you on Aqqaint.

5. How do I remove or edit my listing?

From your listing select the “more options” button.  This will allow you to either Edit or Delete your listing.  Editing your listing will take you back to the listing creation screen.  Selecting Delete will remove it entirely and permanently.  

6.  How do I delete my Aqqaint account?

In order to remove your account from the Aqqaint app, you will need to send us a brief message to with the following information:

Your Name

Email Associated with Account

Reason for Deletion 

We will send a confirmation email before deleting the account for verification purposes.  Once the email is confirmed we will remove your account from the system.
